Goal
BUILDING  A COMMUNITY OF ALL PEOPLE IN THE SPIRIT OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGH COMMUNICATIONS.

Mission 

  • To be at the service of the people of India in general and the Christian community in particular through Social Communications.
  • Driven by the conviction that Christ and his teachings are relevant to all times and peoples to share the same for the benefit of one and all.
  • Empowering people with knowledge and skills in all forms of communications.
  • Making communications play an active role in all aspects of the Church's work.
Objectives 
  • To inspire and motivate individuals and communities to promote effective human communications through workshops, seminars and other training programmes.
  • To coordinate activities, programmes and projects of the Catholic community at various levels such as diocesan, regional and national.
  • To assist regions and dioceses to plan and implement effective programmes for pastoral communications.
  • To empower media consumers, specially the youth to be appreciative, critical and discriminative users of mass media.
  • To identify, train and promote young talents for Church's communications work and for the mainstream media.
  • To dialogue with the media professionals and participate in deliberations on issues related to communications.
  • To train personnel among the Church personnel and the community for creative interaction and participation in media.
  • To coordinate the activities of the various media organizations for better networking and launching of new initiatives.
  • To assist the other Commissions of the CBCI by providing communications  assistance through consultancy, training and programme production.
