Goal

Mission

the Christian community in particular through Social Communications.

communications play an active role in all aspects of the
Church's work.
Objectives
-
To
inspire and motivate individuals and communities to promote
effective human communications through workshops,
seminars and other training programmes.

coordinate activities, programmes and projects of the
Catholic community at various levels such as diocesan,
regional and national.

assist regions and dioceses to plan and implement effective
programmes for pastoral communications.

To
empower media consumers, specially the youth to be appreciative,
critical and discriminative users of mass media.

identify, train and promote young talents for Church's
communications work and for the mainstream media.

dialogue with the media professionals and participate
in deliberations on issues related to communications.

train personnel among the Church personnel and the community
for creative interaction and participation in media.

coordinate the activities of the various media organizations
for better networking and launching of new initiatives.

assist the other Commissions of the CBCI by providing
communications assistance through consultancy, training
and programme production.
