Archbishop Moras Greets Governor, Assures Prayers

NEW DELHI, July 03, 2009, 10.00 Hrs(CBCI News):

Archbishop Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras, President of the Karnataka Region Bishops Council and Archbishop of Bangalore Archdiocese called upon Karnataka State Governor Hans Raj Bhardwaj at 1.30 pm July 1st, along with Priest officials from the Archdiocese of Bangalore that included Fr. C Francis the Finance Officer, Fr. Adolf Washington (PRO, Bangalroe Archdiocese) and Fr. Prem (Secretary to the Archbishop).

Greeting the Governor with a bouquet of flowers, a garland and a shawl, the Archbishop congratulated the Governor on his appointment and assured him prayers and all success in his work.

The Archbishop said, "I convey to you the good wishes and felicitations of the Catholic Community of Bangalore Archdiocese and also the best wishes from the 11 dioceses in Karnataka and wish you the very best in your work. Be assured of our co-operation and prayers".

The Karnataka Region Bishops Council consists of 11 Bishops.
