Independence Day Celebration in Central Jail

Sarvdharm
Maitri Sngh Udaipur celebrated Independence Day with the central
jail prisoners. It was unique celebration to enthuse the spirit
of patriotism in the hearts of the more than one thousand prisoners.
Among them were fifty women who gathered at the open ground
in the vicinity of the Jail. Little Sunahi Jain of St.Mary’s
School introduced the prisoners about the martyrdom of the freedom
fighters who brought us freedom. After the Sarvdharm prayer
colorful dance “Desh Rangila “was presented by the
little children from St. Mary’s School Fatehpura.
Dr.Norbert
Herman SVD and his team entertained the prisoners with patriotic
songs and slogans. Mr. Albin D’souza Director of St. Anthony’s
School said that “God lives in each of you and therefore
God does not punish anyone. He only loves us only we remember
him when we are in trouble”. Sr.Doris and Sr.Kiran Principles
of St.Mary’s were also present with many other representatives
for the Sarvdharma and Fatima Rani Cathedral and distributed
snacks to all the prisoners. Prisoners also presented there
songs, poems and even speech entertaining all of us.
Superintendent
of Central Jail Shri Surendra singh Shekhawat said that these
prisoners have tremendous energy that need to be positively
channelized.
