11th International Symposium at Asian Session of The John Paul
II Institute in Changanacherry on the Theme of “Reconciliation
– The Ministry Of Love And Life”

John Paul
II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family, Cana in Kerala,
is organizing its 11th International Symposium on 26th, 27th
of January 2010 together with convocation of its Alumni (awarding
licentiate in theology of marriage and family and diploma in
the study of marriage and the family). Every year from its inception
the Institute is arranging symposium on most relevant topics
on marriage and family. The theme of this year’s symposium
is “Reconciliation – the ministry of love and life”.
His Grace
Mar Joseph Perumthottam of Metropolitan Archeparchy of the Syro-Malabar
Church and Grand Vice chancellor of the Institute will give
the inaugural address, Rev Dr. Babu Joseph Spokesperson, Media/Information
Office of CBCI, the apex body of the Catholic Church in India,
will make the presidential address. The Grand Chancellor His
Eminence Agostino Cardinal Vallini will bless the symposium
through his communiqué, and Prof. Stephen Kampowski from
the central Session Rome will make the keynote address.
On 27th afternoon there will be convocation programme, the award
distribution by the Grand Vice Chancellor to the successfully
completed students of the academic year 2008-09. The head of
the institute, the Vice president, Rev Dr. Antony Chundalikkat
and the Dean of the Studies and director of the ‘Cana’,
Prof Jacob Koippally will facilitate the convocation programme.
