“Love The Pope, Love The Church” Archbishop Moras Tells Children

Over 1,000 children from various parts of Bangalore Archdiocese gathered at St. Patrick's Church here February 21 for Catechism and Bible Day celebrations.

The programme began with the Eucharistic celebration presided by Archbishop Bernard Moras of Bangalore.
The Archbishop interacted with the children and asked them to challenge the temptation they face through the power of Word of God. He also exhorted them to “love the Pope, love the priests and love the bishops because they are representatives of God”. He urged the children to love and obey their parents, teachers and elders.

St. Patrick's School and Stella Maris School gave a performance based on Biblical theme. Chief Guest of the programme, Father Rayana, in his message quoted Sirah 7:23 and stressed on the importance of parents disciplining their children when they are young. He asked the children to listen, experience, feel the effect and obey the Word of God.

The children rendered biblical-based cultural programmes and received prizes for their performance in the Bible Quiz organised earlier.
