A.P. Region Launches Website

The Andhra Pradesh Bishops Council (APBC) has launched a website www.apbc.in March 16. President of the APBC Bishop Gali Bali of Guntur inaugurated the site during the annual meeting of the APBC held at St John’s Regional Seminary, Hyderabad. Apart from the Bishops, the Regional Secretaries of the APBC Regional Bodies/Commissions and the office-bearers of the Regional unit of CRI were present on the occasion. The administrator of the website Fr Anthoniraj Thumma, Deputy Secretary of the APBC, demonstrated the functioning and pages of the website. The website www.apbc.in, designed with the basic format, contains pages on the history and objects of the APBC, the office-bearers, Bishops, Dioceses, APBC Regional Bodies /Commissions, Reports, News, and a Photo Gallery. It also hosts a page on the state-level ecumenical body called the Andhra Pradesh Federation of Churches (APFC). The website is expected to act as a window to the Catholic Church in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
