Teresa's Life an Inspiration to Whole World: Bangalore Archbishop

Mother Teresa’s contribution to society and the Church
is immense and her life is an inspiration to the whole world,
said Archbishop Bernard Moras of Bangalore.
Presiding
over a concelebrated Mass on the birth centenary celebration
of Mother Teresa at the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral here, August
26, in his homily he said: “Mother showed how we can make
a difference in others’ lives. She was very close to God
always and attributed her work to Jesus.”
Mother
Teresa did ordinary things with extraordinary love, the archbishop
said. He thanked the Sisters of the Missionaries of Charity,
urging them to continue the good work and reach out to the poor
and needy.
An exhibition
portraying the life and works of Mother Teresa was organised
on the Cathedral premises, as part of the celebrations. Special
pictures and extracts from her diary were put on display.
The Missionaries
of Charity congregation, founded by Mother, has two houses in
Bangalore.
