Mother
Teresa Is CEO Of Souls: IT Firm Chief
BANGALORE,
Karnataka, Aug. 30, 2010, 10:00 Hrs (SAR NEWS):
There are
two brands India has created -- Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa,
said the chief of a Bangalore-based top software firm.
“IT
(information technology) professionals should learn marketing
from Mother Teresa, for her congregation has the highest number
of branches in the world (sic), which the TCS (Tata Consultancy
Services) or the Wipro do not have. The Sisters from the Missionaries
of Charity operate without a computer, but they are 24x7 sharing
love and consolation. Mother Teresa is the CEO of souls,”
said Subroto Bagchi, founder of MindTree, Bangalore.
He was
speaking at a celebration organised to mark the birth centenary
of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, August 26, here.
Bagchi,
an author of two books, recalling his experience and life transformation
through Mother, said: “Money does not solve the world’s
problems. We in the corporate world seek to learn to deal with
ups and downs, to work with hands, and not just pray and to
serve without attachment as the nuns of the Missionaries of
Charity do.”
Archbishop
Bernard Moras of Bangalore, in his message said Mother Teresa’s
life was founded on God’s love, trust and compassion for
the poor.
At the
function, he released “Mamatheya Mother Teresa”,
a Kannada documentary in DVD, a Mother Teresa calendar, and
a special issue of “Tabor”, a diocesan bulletin
on Mother marking her birth centenary celebration.
Vicar general
Father C. Francis of Bangalore welcomed the gathering. A troupe
from the National Biblical Catechetical and Liturgical Centre
Bangalore rendered a dance performance based on the life and
works of Mother Teresa.
