We accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, our Teacher and Master,
the sure Way to God the Father who loved this world and gave
His Son Jesus to all humankind.

We believe that Jesus is the foundation of our hope; he unites
us all into one family of God on earth.

We resolve to do everything possible to bring people together
in love, peace and harmony and to shun all forms of hatred, violence,
discrimination, injustice and exploitation that alienate people
from one another and from God, our common Father.
v
In the true spirit of Christ's forgiveness on the cross, we also
resolve to forgive sincerely the evils done to us or to those
close to us by anyone under any pretext.
v
We reaffirm our loyalty to India, our Motherland, where Divine
Providence has planted us to grow unto the fullness of life, and
to use and enjoy the resources of this land, equitably shared
with the less privileged.
v
We promise to fulfill our duties as responsible citizens in a
spirit of patriotism, and be ready to promote the sense of fellowship,
respecting the variety of cultures and rights and dignity of others,
without discriminating against anyone on any ground.
v
We are determined to work together with our fellow citizens for
the integral development of this nation.
v
As Indian citizens we claim our right to the freedom of religion
and expression and all other fundamental rights guaranteed in
the Constitution and make our own the goals of equality, fraternity,
justice and liberty guaranteed in its Preamble.
v
Aware of our own weaknesses, we shall respond as faithfully as
possible to the call to be disciples of Jesus and to witness to
our brothers and sisters the joy of our discipleship.
v
The love of Christ inspires us to use the resources of the earth
responsibly and to work for the promotion of peace and harmony
among people so that the gifts of the "Kingdom of God"
may reach all humans and we all recognize ourselves as children
of God, our common Abba, Father. Amen.
